Principal's Message
Good evening families,
As we head into our last full week of school, I can't help but think that it seems like the first day was just last week! I can't believe it has gone so fast. These kids have grown so much - both physically and academically.
This week we have our K-2 trip to Lex Lanes. Make sure they have a clean pair of gym shoes for that day! Teachers are also taking kids outside for activities, so make sure they have a pair of shoes that can get dirty as well.
Friday we will be celebrating our students' accomplishments in a whole school assembly. (Not open to parents.) That evening, we will have our 2nd 6th Grade Graduation at Mid-Ohio ESC.
Please remember to check your kids as they go out the door for school. They need to have shoes with some type of heel strap, shorts that aren't too tight or short, and shirts that cover the entire shoulder.
Thank you for your support this year! Don't forget, we do have a wonderful field day on Tuesday May 28th, including a visit by Kona Ice!

STEM Spotlight
3rd Grade Enjoy the Outdoors
Our 3rd grade students have spent several afternoons enjoying the outdoors while learning and problem solving. From building structures to provide shelter to chasing rocket balloons, they have loved being outside. One thing about being at a STEM school is being comfortable being outside (yes there are bugs, bees and spiders).
4-6th Graders hear about STEM Careers from OSU-M Professor
Dr. Carns from OSU-M shared the variety of careers available in ecology. This was part of a series of presentations involving professors from OSU-M to make sure students are aware of positions in and around Mansfield in which they be interested.
Learning to Collaborate is Key at STEM!
Our 3rd grade students have been working on our STEM Habits of Mind! On this day, they worked specifically on collaborating as part of a design challenge.
