Bronco Swimmers Off to State!
Our Broncos of the Week from Earlier This Year...Enjoy what peers have to say!
Cooper and Charli were celebrated by our staff for showcasing PBIS Bronco PRIDE! Their enthusiasm, kindness, inclusive nature, involvement, and courtesy inspire those around them. Their contributions help create a supportive school environment, and we are grateful to have them as part of our Bronco community!
FHS Band Shines at Annual Contest with Advanced Repertoire
This year, the FHS band traveled to Northeast Range School to participate in Contest, an event where students have the opportunity to perform advanced pieces for a panel of judges. Rather than a direct competition, Contest allows bands from various schools to showcase their musical abilities and receive valuable feedback.
For this year’s performance, our band played October by Eric Whitacre and Sevens by Sam Hazo—two challenging and expressive pieces. The judges evaluated our performance based on a set rubric, awarding us an "Excellent" rating—the second-highest distinction possible on a scale of Fair, Good, Excellent, and Superior.
Our strong performance at Contest reflects the dedication and hard work of our musicians, and we look forward to building on this success in future performances.

Turning Up the Volume: Engineering Students Build DIY Phone Amplifiers
In Mr. Olson's Intro to Engineering class the students have been learning about sound waves and speakers. They built passive amplifiers for their phones out of readily available items you would find at home to make their phone louder. The speakers were tested in class with a decibel meter and the results were compared to historical results from other classes. The winner this year raised the volume by 13 decibels.
Creative Minds Unite: 6th & 4th Graders Bring Stories to Life!
Mrs. Rudolph’s 6th graders and Mrs. Moss’ 4th graders recently teamed up for a dynamic, hands-on project centered around Writing Dialogue and Scripting. This exciting collaboration sparked creativity and deep engagement as students worked together to bring their characters to life.
Throughout the project, students explored how dialogue reveals personality, crafted original conversations for their characters, designed comic panels to tell their stories, and sketched their imaginative creations. The energy in the room was contagious as older students guided their younger peers, fostering mentorship, creativity, and teamwork.
It was truly inspiring to see students across grade levels exchanging ideas, problem-solving, and learning from one another. This partnership not only strengthened writing skills but also highlighted the power of collaboration in storytelling!
Conflict and Bullying
Please talk to a trusted adult if you or a friend are struggling with conflict, bullying. We have attached some resources below as a guide. When we bring a community together, conflicts inevitably arise. If the conflict persists into bullying or harassment it is imperative that students and adults work together to make it stop. At FHS we take this seriously and will thoughtfully and carefully investigate each incidence, help resolve conflict, and address bullying. Everyone deserves to feel safe at school!
