Dear DPM Families,
We look forward to celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week from May 5th to May 9th to honor the educators across DPM. We'll be taking the opportunity to recognize the incredible dedication and hard work of our middle school teachers who make such a profound difference in the lives of our students every single day. Their passion, guidance, and unwavering support create the nurturing and challenging learning environment that helps our children thrive.
Thank you to our incredibly generous Deer Path community for showing their gratitude for these amazing educators. Throughout the week, our staff will be treated to a variety of special events to acknowledge their commitment provided by the APT, Dr. Montgomery, and the rest of the D67 Leadership team.
Monday: The week will kick off right with a visit from the Coffee & Donut Truck!
Tuesday: Teachers can look forward to a Surprise Gift & Snacks to brighten their day.
Wednesday: Staff will get to enjoy a delicious and nourishing Brainfood Lunch.
Thursday: Teachers will indulge in a sweet treat at a Red Carpet Dessert Bar.
Friday: Dr. Montgomery and his team will provide a tasty lunch from the Taco Truck and teachers will be treated to an end of the week special Raffle!
We believe it's essential to honor the tireless efforts of our teachers, and we invite you to talk with your students about the impact their teachers have had on them. A simple thank you note, a thoughtful drawing, or just a heartfelt expression of appreciation from your child can make a world of difference. Let's come together as a community to make this Teacher Appreciation Week truly special for the remarkable individuals who shape the future of our students.
Have a wonderful long weekend,
Dr. Michelle Shinn, 5/6 Principal
Mr. Sam Paulsen, 7/8 Principal
