Flu Immunization Clinic - October 28, 2024
Each year, the Howard County Public School System partners with the Maryland Partnership for Prevention to bring flu immunizations into our schools for students. This year, they will also be offering the latest Covid vaccine if it is available at the time of the clinics. The clinic at MHHS will be held on October 28, 2024, from 7:30AM-10:30AM. If you would like your child to be vaccinated against the flu and/or Covid at this clinic, please register at this link: https://www.marylandvax.org/appointment/en/reg/2672582109
All in-school clinics will be closed to registration on October 15, 2024 before the clinic date to allow our health room staff time to review and prepare the consents and make sure enough vaccine is ordered.
The Intern/Mentor Course
The Intern/Mentor course is part of the Advanced Research Program at Mt. Hebron. Students work with mentors in the local area for roughly four hours each week as volunteer interns while also engaging in a research project in class with Dr. Kiehl. We are seeking one mentor in either the clinical medicine or medical research field. The intern would appreciate an opportunity to either work with a doctor in a hospital or office setting or in a lab space and is open to any field in medicine. You can learn more about the Intern/Mentor course here. Please reach out to Dr. Kiehl at mkiehl@hcpss.org for more information. Your support is appreciated.

Volunteer Opportunities
Please Volunteer!
Attention Hebron families- we need all of you- yes all of you to volunteer for something this year- whether it is helping out with selling spirit wear or helping out selling concessions- we need you! If every family took one shift, we would be covered. Please, please consider- all proceeds go toward funding all of the Hebron sports teams, clubs, theatre and music programs. You don’t have to have an athlete to volunteer (all students benefit from Mt Hebron Viking Backers , not just athletes)- you don’t have to have any skills to volunteer (we will show you the ropes!)- you don’t even have to have a current student. It’s really fun, a great way to meet people and get involved with your community!
