Each kid has a “window” of time in which they will hopefully perform within that 30 minutes of time.. if the room is not getting backed up.
- For example: if a student has a window at 10:30AM, the goal is for them to play sometime between 10:30-11AM
Transportation will not be provided. Please plan to take your kiddo or carpool.
If you know that you have an event we need to plan around on any of these dates, please fill out the form below. If not, don't fill out.
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are singlehandedly the best way to help your child advance in their playing! The one-on-one work with a professional on their instrument is invaluable. Please consider signing your child up for private lessons! They are for all levels of ability, from remedial to advanced. If your child feels they are behind and want help, or if they want to advance into Honor Winds in the future, lessons can help students achieve their goals!
To sign up for lessons, either include it on your registration forms or email Mr. Lott and he will get you connected with a private lesson teacher. You can even contact them directly by finding their email here.
Band Registration Forms
Most of Symphonic Band have not yet filled out their registration forms. Please fill this out so we can have the necessary information for the year! Thank you!
Sectionals
Please be aware we did our best to plan around football, tennis, volleyball, cross country, track, soccer, and more. We try our best to not schedule them the day of a game.
Band Sectionals are required for all 7th and 8th grade students and count for 30% of their nine-weeks average. Most playing tests will happen in sectionals. They provide instrument-specific instruction once a week. Families must provide their own transportation to and from the sectional. Sectionals are considered co-curricular, which means it is an extension of regular classroom instruction. Students need to be warmed up and tuned on their own prior to the start time of each sectional. Thank you for making the effort to improve and work toward excellence in your playing!
Door 25 will be open in the morning at 7:15 daily, until 7:30 AM. Unfortunately, if you are not at the door by 7:30, there is no one to let you in... you will miss your sectional. If a sectional is missed, you have 1 week to make it up if it is excused. Please plan around sectionals and let Mr. Lott know if you are going to miss.
