Did You Know?

That Epiphany was on January 6th. Epiphany is a significant Christian feast day that celebrates the arrival of the Magi (also known as the Three Kings or Wise Men) who were guided by a star to visit the baby Jesus.

To commemorate Epiphany, many of our classes participated in a tradition where the year and the initials "CMB" are written above each classroom door.

"CMB" serves a dual purpose:

It represents the first letters of the names of the Three Wise Men: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar.
It also stands for the Latin phrase "Christus Mansionem Benedicat," which translates to "May Christ bless this house."

Therefore, writing "20+C+M+B+25" above the door symbolizes a blessing for the classroom in the year 2025.

Register for the NEXT school year - 2025/2026

- Please register here as a "New Student" if the student is NOT currently attending a GSACRD school in the 2024/2025 school year.

Current Student

Register for the NEXT school year - 2025/2026

- Please DO NOT fill out a New Student Registration as a notification email will be sent shortly to register for the next school year. Once you receive the email, you can log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account and complete a returning student registration online form.

REGISTRATION Information for Recreation Academy at BK (For Grades 4-6)

Registration will open on January 7, 2025 for current Sports & Rec Academy students, January 14, 2025 for all District students and January 21, 2025 it is open to the public. Please register through your PowerSchool Parent Portal under School Fees and Forms and your child's name. If you are new our district please email sports-rec-office@gsacrd.ab.ca to get an ID to register.
