A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:

This past Tuesday we hosted evaluators from The Leader in Me. These evaluators spent the day visiting classrooms, having conversations with both students and parents, as well as looking closely at our school environment! What a wonderful day it was! Our students were exceptional, welcoming these visitors warmly in their classrooms and eagerly showing off their Leadership notebooks and academic WIGS!

Although we won't officially hear for a few more weeks if we will be recognized as a national LIGHTHOUSE school, I am so proud of the special staff and students that make Pontiac a premier place to teach and learn! I am so excited about the leadership opportunities we are able to provide to our students. In fact, more than 68% of our students have held a leadership job this year! Our students are finding their passion through Covey Clubs each 1/2 day. What joy it has been to watch these students learn more about gardening, self-care strategies, and even skills such as bucket drumming, cheerleading, and stepping!

Thank you, parents, for showing an interest in the 7 Habits and encouraging your children to practice these habits at home. Thank you for helping your child seek out student leadership jobs at school that fit nicely with their passions and interests. Thank you for supporting our school leadership framework as we continue to create joyful leaders and learners at PONTIAC!

Lost and Found

Please have your child check the lost and found to see if anything belongs to them. What is left over at the end of April will be donated to a charity. Thanks

Returning Annual Registration

Step 1:

Log into your Parent Portal account, www.parents.richland2.org
Scroll down to the bottom LEFT hand side and look for the

click on it.

The process is not completed until you have SUBMITTED the Annual Registration.

Step 2:

ALL POR’S MUST BE WITHIN 30 DAYS.

If your address has not changed, turn in one proof of residency.
If your address has changed, PLEASE turn in three proofs of residency,they must be current, within 30 days of the present date.
Family’s Living with Families you have to complete the Affidavits every year, 3 proofs of residency from the homeowner & 3 proofs of residency from the parent.
