EMK’s PTO provided a marvelous magic show with Joe Romano! Our learners had an amazing adventure through the books Mr. Romano shared with us, including the one he wrote! From frog to Prince and helper to Harry Potter, everyone had so much fun while learning about characters in many books!
The WCB Student Council has been busy this year. Students have participated in our school-wide paper recycling project, organized a school election and collected food for RISE. The Student Council also organized and took part in CHOP's National Pajama Day, raising over $700 for the hospital. Our students are excited to see what we have planned for 2025.
Staff and students at PLD showed off styles of their favorite singers during Kidz Bop Day. Several Michael Jacksons, Swifties, and even an appearance by Beyonce (a.k.a. Principal Allen) were seen around the school.
Several classes at PLD completed activities and discussed the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Students listened to and discussed the significance of his "I have a dream" speech, developed their own dreams for equality in the world, spoke about historical events during the Civil Rights Movement, and even compared Dr. King to other influential figures who had dreams of equality and peace for all people.
January 14 was Twin or Multiple Day at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. Staff and students showed their spirit by dressing like a friend.
