Hello Burbank Families,

I'm Chris Thiel, the new Director/Principal of Burbank Early Childhood School. With 17 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I am thrilled to join this wonderful community. Our office staff, including Misti and Rachel, are here to assist with any questions you might have about enrollment, tuition, the peer program, or how we can best support you and your child. Feel free to reach out to them for help. I look forward to a wonderful school year together!

Thank you all for making our first week of school so wonderful! Your warm welcome and support have made this a truly magical start to the year. A special thanks to our PTO for their hard work and contributions, including the fantastic signs and the golden bear. We are thrilled to have our students back and couldn't be more excited about what the upcoming year holds.

We are committed to ensuring the safety of all our students, and to help with this, we will be implementing the Safe School ID system in our building. If you haven't already done so, please register yourself with the Safe School ID system in the office. Once registered, you can connect your ID to your phone.

When entering the building, we ask that you show your ID on your phone. If you do not have your phone with you, you'll need to come into the office, scan your driver's license, and print a temporary badge. All visitors who enter the building between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm will be required to print a badge and wear it while in the building.

We understand that this process may be less convenient, but it is essential for maintaining the safety of our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.

This is a friendly reminder that Burbank is a nut-free school. To ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, we ask that you refrain from sending any products that contain peanuts, tree nuts, or any other kinds of nuts. This policy is in place to protect those with severe allergies, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

I'm excited to announce the return of Soccer Shots! They will be offering a free demo lesson for all Burbank students on the morning of September 3rd at 9:30 am and the afternoon of September 4th at 2:30 pm.

Registration information will be sent home with students, and you can also access it through the QR code below. The program is scheduled to run from September through May and will take place on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.

Please take note of the following important dates when our school will be closed:

• September 2nd – Labor Day
• October 11th – Professional Development Day
• October 14th – Fall Break
