Message from the Superintendent
Dear Emery Unified community,
Welcome to a new school year! A big thank you to all the parents and guardians who joined us for Back to School Night—your support is vital to our students' success.
Please remember to submit the Nutrition Services form for your child. This helps us secure important funding for our schools, and every form makes a difference.
Like every year, we are committed to the health and safety of our students and staff. I encourage families to check out the LifeLong Health Facility on our campus and use the free medical and behavioral health services for students. Don’t forget to fill out the consent form so your child can access these services.
Finally, we’re excited to share that our solar panel project is nearly complete, thanks to the support of our community. This is a big step towards a brighter and more sustainable future for our school district. As construction continues around our school, please stay safe and follow all street safety guidelines.
Thank you for being part of our community, and here’s to a great school year ahead!
Sincerely,
Dr. Quiauna Scott
Superintendent

AT&T Event
Thank you to AT&T, Human I-T, Raising Cane's, and Emeryville’s Mayor Welch for donating Chromebook devices to every student in our high school to have at home!
Back to School Nights
A big thank you to all the parents and guardians who joined us for Back to School Night! Your involvement and support are vital to our students' success. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with you and look forward to a great school year ahead!
Please Submit Important Forms
Please submit the Nutrition Services form for your child as soon as possible. This information is crucial, as it directly helps Emery Unified School District secure important funding that supports our programs and resources. Every form submitted makes a difference in enhancing the quality of education and services we provide.
LifeLong Health Clinic
Did you know that EUSD has a LifeLong Health Facility right on our campus, providing convenient access to medical care for our students?
As part of the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency School Health Services Coalition, the Emeryville Health Center, a School-Based Health Center (SBHC), was established with the collaboration between Emery Unified School District (EUSD) and LifeLong Medical Care.
Situated on the Emeryville Center of Community Life (ECCL) campus, the Emeryville Health Center opened its doors in October 2016 to provide age-appropriate, confidential, and comprehensive medical, behavioral, and oral health services to Anna Yates Elementary School and Emery Secondary School students.
LifeLong Health Facility does not bill families or collect payment for services. If insurance is available, they will bill and collect from your insurance. Services do not affect or replace your current insurance plans. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome! If you want to schedule an appointment or have more questions about the health center and services, please call the office at (510) 833-7050.
If you're a parent or guardian, be sure to fill out the consent form, and your child can receive health services directly from the clinic. For more information, please contact the school office.
Street Safety
Major construction on the streets surrounding our school is still planned for 2025. We will continue to share important updates from Caltrans as we receive them. Thank you for your understanding.
We kindly remind all families to stay vigilant while crossing the street to get to campus. On 53rd Street, in front of Anna Yates, please use the crosswalk and hold your child(rens)’s hands as you cross. If you are dropping off students in a car, please do not double park. It is critical that we maintain a safe traffic experience around our school.
Solar Panel Updates
Thanks to the generous contributions from bond funding and support from our community, we’re thrilled to announce that the solar panel construction is set to wrap up this October. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing upgraded facilities for our students and staff. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the final stages of this transformative project.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month pays tribute to generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. We are supportive of our diverse school community and are proud to support our Latinx and Hispanic community members. To learn more about this month, please click here.
Suicide Prevention Month
EUSD cares about the mental health and well-being of all students and staff. We encourage students to connect with our Wellness and Health Department, a teacher, a counselor, or a trusted adult when they feel they need more support. It’s also important for peers to speak up when they see or hear something concerning, such as someone expressing intent to harm themselves. Whether you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or are concerned about a loved one who might be, you are not alone.
Learn and share the warning signs of youth suicide during Suicide Prevention Month. If someone is showing any of the warning signs, urge them to contact a mental health professional or 988 Lifeline.
