Stonehedge Library

Happy Fall, Families of Stonehedge!
The first few weeks of the school year have flown by and we are back in the swing of things here in the library.
We’ve gotten through our initial lessons about library use and book care and we are finally checking out at full speed for our K-4th grade students. We also started book checkouts with UPK this week. Talk about cute!!! This is a great time to ask your students what they know about taking care of their library books and dialing in a reading routine at home (including a plan to pack those library books the night before library…students can get very upset when they can’t check out because they forgot their books at home.)
After switching over library computer systems over the summer, we’ve been doing a lot of work to sync and clean up our library catalog. This has resulted in some confusing overdue notices, especially for check outs from our Summer Open Library sessions. We thank you for your patience as we work through the transition. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Mrs. Abbott at 315 487-4641.
We have two Open Library Nights in October. The first will be on Monday the 16th, second will be on the 30th. Both Open Libraries run from 6:30-7:30. This is a chance for your family to visit the library “At Night”, do a little reading and check out some extra books. We hope to see you there!
Until then,
