Brahma Briefing
Week 16 - Nov. 30 - Dec 4., 2020
Welcome to Week 16
Hello Brahma Parents & Guardians,
Welcome back from Thanksgiving break. I hope everyone had an enjoyable time with family and is staying healthy. The COVID numbers in Los Angeles County are not looking good and now is the time to stay vigilant with our health precautions. As of today, we will continue with our academic cohorts, Special Ed assessments, and conditioning for some athletic and performing arts cohorts. If we receive any updated guidelines from the Department of Health (DPH) restricting these activities, I will communicate those changes to all parents and guardians.
This week's memo includes details about our upcoming Final Exams, Instrumental Music Center Capital Campaign, clothing drives and much more!
Only two weeks left of the first semester, finish strong Brahmas!
Best Regards,
Reuben Jones

Fall 2020 Final Exam Updates
Final Exams and End of 1st semester
We have 12 days until the end of the 1st semester!
- Final Exams - Some of your classes, if not all, will have a final assessment. This could be in the form of a project, paper, cumulative test, etc. Final Exams measure what you have learned over the entire semester. Please speak with your teachers to inquire about the details of these final exams. They can have big impacts on your grade so it is best that you are aware and know how to prepare to do the best you can. Again, speak with your teachers!
- End of 1st Semester - After December 16, grades will become Final and will post to your transcript. Your transcript is a permanent reflection of how you did in every class for each semester and is the official record of grades used by colleges. If you have anything less than a B in a class, you should be using that tutorial period DAILY! Please go to tutorial and use it to your advantage. We have to say that one benefit of online learning is that we have tutorial time. It’s almost like college, it’s built-in Office hours! Use it!
