Message from the Principal
Greetings Storm Family!
Welcome to Ridgeline Middle School as we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year! We look forward to seeing students and families again at our Ridgeline Orientation on August 28 from 3:30 to 6:30! Details have been sent to parent email addresses, so please check your email.
This school year, student and parent voice will be a focus for our staff. We want student and parent involvement in making Ridgeline the best it can be for all students! At our Coffee with the Principal events this year, we will ask you to tell us about your experience as a parent and how we can better serve you and your students.
What do you hope for your child to experience and achieve in the 2024-2025 school year? What do you want to say to them to help them realize their full potential and their dreams for the future? We ask that all parents talk to their children about their hopes, fears, and dreams for the school year. Encourage students to engage in all that Ridgeline has to offer. We want to help all students to reach their highest potential! We look forward to starting this journey on Day 1!
Students will need to bring supplies on the first day of school. Check out the student supply list on our website Home Page: RMS Supply List 24-25
We look forward to welcoming all new and returning students and families to the STORM Family this school year! We call our community the “STORM Family” because we want our school family to be an extension of your family. We want to serve you in times of joy, happiness, and triumph, but also in times of challenge, grief, and struggle. Academic learning and growth are our bottom line, yet we also understand that educating students means being attentive to the whole child and caring about their social and emotional well-being.
Our teachers and staff love middle school-age students, and we love to be a part of their learning and growth during these crucial years of development. We love having parents in our school and contributing to our positive school culture. Parents and community are a big part of who we are, and we want you to help us tell our story.
We hope you will reach engage with the Booster Club at Orientation. We hope you will come to the Watch D.O.G.S. Information Night on September 18 from 6:00 to 7:00. There are many ways to be active as a parent at Ridgeline, and we look forward to partnering with you to create a valuable learning experience for all students in the 2024-2025 school year!
Ridgeline Middle School is a community school. We are a place of learning, belonging, growth, and support for students, families, and community.
Thank you for being a part of our community and our school! Thank you for choosing Ridgeline and being a part of the STORM Family!
Sincerely,
Craig Curry
Ridgeline Principal

Attendance is important!!
Regular attendance at school helps your child get the most out of middle school. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child attends school on a regular basis. There is no substitute for being in class—students need to be present to hear teachers explain concepts, to participate in group projects and class discussions, and to ask questions.
Set a reasonable bedtime and make sure electronic devices are put away so there is no temptation to stay awake to read messages or play games. It will be easier to get up on time if he/she has a good night’s sleep every night.
As much as possible, please schedule doctor and dentist appointments before or after school.
Of course, if your child is ill, please keep him/her home to help them recover and to help minimize the spread of covid, flu and other viruses. Prevention messages are the same: wash hands frequently, avoid ill individuals, cover coughs and sneezes and stay home when ill.
If your student is going to be tardy or absent, please remember to call the Ridgeline Attendance Line at 360-458-1100, or email Mrs. Whited, RMS Registrar at rms_attendance@ycs.wednet.edu.
Health Room Info…
Please remember the following for medication at school:
All medication taken at school requires a signed doctor’s order and must also be signed by the parent. This includes over-the-counter medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, cough drops, etc. Forms are available in the office and most doctor’s offices have them as well. Parents or guardians my come in to the nurse’s office and personally give medicine to the student if necessary.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the health room at 360-458-1100.
