Hello Temple View families and friends,

Happy Spring!

I hope everyone had a relaxing Spring Break and was able to spend some time with their loved ones.

We are in the HOMESTRETCH for the school-year and it will be May before we know it! As it gets warmer we can start eating our lunches outside.

A huge thank you for supporting our PTO fundraiser to raise money for our school. We raised $10,280 selling Car Raffle Tickets. The Car Raffle ticket drawing will be on April 25th.

We are extremely excited to have our Temple View Drama Club present Moana Jr. on April 23, 24 at Compass Academy! (Purchase Tickets Here)The kids and families have been working so hard practicing. It will be AMAZING!!!!

April is the month we begin ISAT testing every 3rd-6th grader. It is important students are consistently at school and well rested. We will be testing April 7th through April 25th.

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,

My name is McKenzie Kunz and I am so excited to introduce myself as your interim school counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. I am currently a student in the Idaho State University counseling program and will be graduating in May of 2025. I am a native Idahoan and have lived in Southeastern Idaho for most of my life. I am so blessed to have a wonderful partner and two incredible children, along with a number of furry children. My family and I love music, animals, and we enjoy camping and the outdoors. We are excited for the warm weather coming so that we can spend our time in nature doing the things we love.

I am grateful to have been able to learn from and work alongside Mrs. Duncan since the beginning of the school year, and I have loved getting to know so many of the students at Temple View. I plan to continue to build my relationship with all students so that they know me and know that I am a support to them. My goal is to further support all students to thrive both socially and emotionally, as well as academically. This can look like helping students work through challenges they may face at school, setting short-term and long-term goals, and/or navigating friendships. My role is to be a resource for every student at Temple View and to create a safe, welcoming space where every child feels heard, supported, and empowered to grow.

Here are some of the ways that I will continue to support the school and students:

• I’m available to meet with students one-on-one or in small groups to work through personal challenges, build social skills, or explore new ways of managing feelings and developing personal coping strategies.

• Besides being available for students as needed, I will continue to visit each classroom to teach lessons from District 91's SEL program, Second Step.

• The growth and progression of the students at Temple View is a collaborative effort, and I will continue to work with parents, teachers, and the students in order to support each student at an individual level.

Hello Temple View families!!

A huge shout out to everyone that participated in the car fundraiser.

You guys sold 1028 tickets!

That gave us $10,280 total. That is awesome. The funds will go toward things the teachers need and some to help with Temple Views first play production of Moana. I really hope the winning ticket is from one of our tickets.

Drawing is April 26th.

The PTO meeting is April 11th at 12:00 pm.
