ATHLETICS
Student Athlete Profile
Student Athlete: Emily Mendoza 10th grade
How long have you been playing Softball?
I’ve been playing now for about 1 year at John Glenn, however, I played outside of school for another 2 years. I even played little league when I was little. Right now, I play left outfield and also 3rd base.
What is your favorite Softball memory so far ?
It would have to be all of our practices. We all get along so well and in practices we train hard but also joke a lot.
What are your plans for after high school?
I want to further my education and go to college. My dream college would be Texas Tech, I love architecture and engineering. This will be my focus as a career down the line. My other choice would also be UCLA. I might also look into Cal Poly Pomona.
Who is your favorite teacher?
My favorite teacher for sure is Mr. Aponte. He is very professional, but is also very open with students. I really love the way he teaches, he breaks things down into steps for us to understand the ideas.
