Message from Principal Goodman
Parents and students,
I hope this letter finds you well-rested and rejuvenated. We are so excited to get the 24-25 school year started. We hope to make the transition smooth by implementing LINK Day for our freshmen before all grade levels begin.
We look forward to kicking off LINK Day on Tuesday, September 3 with our freshmen students. Our LINK leaders will be in contact with your son or daughter to remind them of what to bring on their first day of high school. We will be doing team-building activities in the morning, and the students will be meeting their teachers as they walk through their schedules in the afternoon. All freshmen will be receiving their Chromebooks at the end of the day. This day is designed to help students adjust to the new building and processes to make it a smooth transition to high school.
All other grade levels will start school on Wednesday, September 4. This day will kick off with an opening assembly, introducing our new teaching staff, and hearing from our senior leaders as they share messages with the underclassmen. We will be running slightly shorter classes on this opening day.
One of our school goals is to increase parent involvement. We are hosting an Open House on August 28 to give parents and students an opportunity to meet administrators, teachers, and counselors to get their questions answered before the start of school. From 1:00-5:00 PM, students and families are able to take self guided tour of the high school. All families are invited at 5:00 PM to enjoy a free hot dog plate and a performance by the Marching Cardinals to kick off the evening! At 5:30 PM, parents and students will be invited into the auditorium for a brief informational meeting. Following that presentation, students and families are able to meet with their teachers in the classrooms until the Open House ends at 7:00 PM. Please join us if you can!
Thank you for partnering with Chi-Hi,
Mrs. Donna Goodman
