Good Afternoon Woodbury Middle School Community,

We hope you enjoyed this Memorial Day weekend. Thank you to Paula Paolino for providing the flags surrounding our entrance again this year, honoring the men and women who passed while serving their country. As the school days wind down, our days are getting busier. Softball and baseball have three games this week, while track and field host Thursday's invitational tournament at Nonnewaug.

Our music students had a busy week, showcasing their talent and dedication. They started with an outstanding concert on Wednesday, followed by a day of learning from guest clinicians and a culminating trip to Quassy on Friday. This success is a testament to our Music department's hard work and leadership under Mrs. Odell's guidance.

If you didn’t attend our evening of the arts on Wednesday, you missed the incredible display of artwork presented by Ms. Skalkos. The hallways were like a museum filled with student work on display.

Congratulations to Fiona Scozzafava and Flynn Amodio, who were honored last week by the Connecticut Association of Schools as scholar leaders. A banquet with family and teachers was held at the Aqua Turf last Wednesday.

Thank you to the WMS Parents in the Middle for their support and for treating our staff to a wonderful luncheon last Friday. Your generosity and thoughtfulness are truly appreciated throughout the school year.

With the end-of-year field trips and other significant events on the horizon, it's important to remind your students of the participation criteria. Our team leaders have sent home a notice clarifying student eligibility. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact your child's teachers. We want to ensure that everyone is well-prepared and can fully enjoy these upcoming events.
