Wentzville School District Community,
The Board of Education is pleased to announce their appointment of Brian Bishop as the 20th superintendent for the Wentzville School District effective immediately. Bishop has been acting as an interim superintendent since April 2024.
He brings 24 years of experience in education to this position.
"Mr. Bishop brings both experience and a focus on student success and academic achievement to the forefront," said Katie Lyczak, president of the Board of Education. "Let's join together in supporting him as we work to empower students to thrive and grow."
Previously, Bishop served as a deputy superintendent of staff and operations as well as the assistant superintendent of human resources for the WSD. Prior to that, he worked eight years as a principal at Fort Zumwalt East High School, eight years as an assistant principal at the high school and middle school levels in the Fort Zumwalt School District, and six years as a social studies teacher and coach at Fort Zumwalt West High School.
He holds an Education Specialist degree and a Master of Science in educational administration from Missouri Baptist University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

I would like to express my gratitude to our Board of Education for placing their trust in me to lead the Wentzville School District into this new chapter. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our remarkable community of students, educators, staff, families, and residents. I look forward to working with the WSD’s outstanding team of educators to provide our students with a high-quality education, move our district forward, and achieve our goals.
