Hello Davis Drive Elementary Families!
Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that it is 2025. I hope you all had a wonderful break and had some extra time to spend with family and friends. As we welcome a new year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support and partnership. Together, we make our school a place of learning, growth, and community. I’m excited for the opportunities 2025 holds and look forward to working with you to help our students thrive.
A reminder since we have a chance for inclement weather. WCPSS posts on major news stations if there is a school cancellation or delayed opening. They also always post on their website so please check there if you have any questions regarding school closures (they make the decision at 5am).
-If school has a delayed opening, DDE will not be serving breakfast
-If school is cancelled, the After-School program will not operate

Change of Transportation Policy
Report transportation changes by 1:15pm on the day of the change by calling the Front Office at (919) 387-2130. Do not send a Talking Points message or email to your child’s classroom teacher to report a transportation change.
Early Dismissal Policy
Students who need to be picked up early from school must be checked out by 1:30pm. Please send a Talking Points message or email to your child’s teacher to alert them of the early dismissal plan.
