Principal's Message

Dear Sabre Families,

This is an exciting week that brings us closer to the reopening of school and with upcoming student registration. Students will have the opportunity to have a school ID picture taken and to see where their locker has been assigned. Lockers have been assigned alphabetically and by grade level.

To see where your child’s locker has been assigned, please visit the PowerSchool portal under the eips.ca website.

If your child was unable to make it to registration, students will simply proceed to their classes on the first day of the staggered reentry. To review,

September 1 - 30 level classes
September 2 -20/30 level classes
September 3 - all classes

There will be an opportunity on September 8 to have their picture taken for those students who missed registration.

For students who have opted for out-of-school learning, it is optional to come to registration. We have saved each out-of-school learner a locker should students transition to class instruction in a later quarter.

Also, for our out-of-school learning, expect a phone call from the school by the end of this week to outline the process and specifics of how out-of-school learning will work, and to answer any questions you may have. We will also be reaching out this week to our recently graduated students, who have requested to return and upgrade to confirm course selection.

This Thursday, August 27 each grade level Administrator will be running a Google Meet to introduce themselves so you can put a face to a name, and to give an overview of the upcoming year. The times are as follows:

1:00 Grade 10 - Mr. Brandon Salyzyn

2:00 Grade 11 - Mrs. Krista Porter
3:00 Grade 12 - Mrs. Liane Schultz

We understand that not all parents are able to attend the meeting due to work and other commitments. Therefore, we will have the recording on our website at www.salcomp.ca after the meeting.
