A Moment With Mrs. O'Donnell

Dear Attea Families,

We continue to strive to celebrate our students and staff for their heritage, cultures, talents, and gifts.

This week, we started sharing activities and communicating regarding Black History Month. We are also recognizing International Holocaust Remembrance Day and focusing on the treatment of people for a better future. Our social-emotional goal is to increase positive interaction between peers.

We look forward to our PTA-sponsored Winter Bash on Friday and to enjoying our time together. Our food will be ordered on Monday, so $5 must be turned in by Monday, January 27th! If families and students signed up and did not pay the fee, students will not be able to participate. At this time, we have 50 students, who still need to pay and we would love for everyone interested to be able to attend.

Best of luck to our 8th-grade boy’s basketball team on the Conference Championship game tonight at Shepard Middle School at 4:30! Join the fun and cheer on our Flyers!

Learning Labs

Our last session of Learning Labs #1 concluded in December, just before Winter Break. Learning Labs #2 will begin January 27, 2025. Your child might continue to be offered a space, or your child might graduate (exit) from the program. We will contact you as soon as possible during the week of January 20th, if your child remains eligible for Learning Labs #2. Thank you for continuing to support your child as they learn and grow.

Winter Blues Bash Attea: RSVP and turn in $5 to office

8th Grade information

8th Grade GBS Counselor Visit

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the counselors will return to Attea for course registration. During this short individual meeting with your child, the counselor will review course placements and gather feedback regarding elective preferences. Students may have their GBS ID picture taken on this day as well, so please share this information with your child. Once we know for sure, we will add this to our daily announcements in PowerSchool.

Attea Winter Bash Volunteer Sign Up

PTA Snack Sign-up - Support After School Clubs!

PTA is asking for volunteers to provide snacks to our student participants in clubs/sports for the remainder of the school year. Volunteers would select an item from the sign-up form and bring it to Attea at the beginning of the month. Club sponsors really appreciate this extra incentive for students who participate in our after school programs!
