What we will be learning this week

How do families and friends celebrate special days? We celebrate in different ways.

Colors- review pink, black, gray, white, brown, red, blue, green, orange, purple and yellow

Shapes- STAR-review circle, triangle, square, rectangle, rhombus, heart, and oval and their attributes

Writing - review: touch pull down/ strokes up and down (drawing shapes and forming letters)

Math - Number 6- count objects up to 6, patterns, compare sets with more and less

Reading -REVIEW Letters , Nn, Oo, Ff, Ii, Aa, Ss, Tt and Mm, introduce Pp.

Science- Liquids and solids/water and ice

Social studies- holidays and celebrations

Extra pair of clothes

Please make sure your child has an extra pair of clothes in their backpack for emergencies. Sometimes we don't make it down to the bathroom in time or we spill our lunch on ourselves. Having an extra pair of pants and underwear in a baggie will keep us from having to call you in the middle of class. We can just change and clean up and get back to learning.

Reading every day/night

Reading each day/night to your child is so important. Click on the picture to see just how it will help your child and their success in learning. Bonus: It is great one on one quality time with your child.

Dress Code

Colors for caring

On the first Wednesday of each month, you may wear a color shirt that helps support a cause that is special to you. You can click on the picture to see colors and what cause they represent.
