Kura Tuatahi Toko Panui
19th September 2024
Dear Parents and Friends of our School Kia Ora/Hello/Kamusta
Kia ora koutou,
Our combined schools, Te Kahui Ako o Taranaki Mohoao, Kapa Haka Festival was a great way to embrace and celebrate Maori Languge Week. Our tamariki along with all our Stratford and surrounding schools performed with enthusiam and pride at the War Memorial yesterday. Pai ki te katoa! (Well done to all!)
Our new school signage is finally up and now visitors and new families to our school should be able to navigate their way around the school with ease. Thank you to Ross and Sharon at Abstract Signs for a fantastic job done!
One of our three strategic goals this year is for our tamariki to make a difference and give back. Over the past three terms there has been many opportunities for this to occur. As a community we have also embraced and modelled this to our tamariki by assisting two of our school families through the meal roster. On behalf of both families I would like to extend a really big thank you to those of you that were able to assist with this. Our very small kind gesture had an immense impact at the receiving end and both families are ever so appreciative!
Over the school holidays we hope the tamariki enjoy spending more time with their calf or lamb. Fingers crossed for some fine weather so they can all spend lots of time outside exploring, playing, riding bikes, kicking balls, making huts and daisy chains......
Nga mihi nui

BOARD UPDATE
Friends of Toko School (FOTS) Donation
A big thank you to FOTS for donating $15000 to the school. This money has been used to purchase new ipads, chrome books and netbooks across all classes and has contributed towards the cost of the new deck outside Room 4. A big thank you to everyone that supports FOTS across the school year. Without your support we wouldn't have surplus funds to buy the added extras for our school.

An advert has been placed in the Stratford Press opening the ballot for families who live outside of the school zone, to enrol their children at Toko School.
