DROP OFF AND PICKUP SAFETY UPDATE
We are continuing to see an increased amount of people using the parking lot and walking/sending students across which is causing both a safety issue and also a back-up in traffic. For efficiency and safety, our goal is to ONLY utilize drop-off and pick-up via your vehicle along the sidewalk. Our parking lot should not be used unless you are parking and entering the school. We are not staffing this duty to monitor the crosswalk because of the system we have in place. Please review the following information and let’s work together to make this process a safer and more efficient one:
Morning Drop-off Reminders
Students can be dropped off beginning at 8:20am when BH staff are present to supervise. The first bell to come into the building is 8:25am.
Please do not use the parking lot to drop off students UNLESS you are coming into the building (office), assisting a child with carrying supplies, or other special circumstances.
All cars should enter our parking lot on the southeast side of our building nearest Idlewild park and follow the traffic pattern continuing to move forward.
Students can be dropped off safely anywhere along the sidewalk in the front of the school curbside
Please DO NOT block the crosswalk
Afternoon Pick-up
Do Not use the parking lot unless picking up your child early, or needing to come into the building.
Student pick-up numbers will be typed in beginning 3:20(5) and students will be released beginning at 3:25pm.
All cars should enter our parking lot on the southeast side of our building nearest Idlewild park and follow the traffic pattern continuing to move forward along the curbside of our school.
We will continue to move cars forward to pick up students so that we don’t back traffic up too long on Harbor Lights.
If you do not normally pick your child up, but need to, please make sure to contact the office/teacher so that we can put it into our system.
