Holiday Greetings and Reminders!
On Friday, December 20th, there is an early dismissal day for both students and staff. Please see the images below for more information related to specific half day dismissal times for all students. In addition, on Friday, December 20th, our before care program will be open in the morning. However, due to the half day and winter break, after care on December 20th will be CLOSED. Our before and after care program will return to their normal schedule on Thursday, January 2nd.
Our district and schools will be closed for the Winter Break from December 21st through January 1st. On Thursday, January 2nd all students and staff will return to school.
Since the district will be closed from 12/21/24 - 1/1/25, we wanted to also remind our families of our StopIt platform should the need arise. This tool provides families with an βafter hoursβ reporting system and community resources for mental health. This platform affords members of our school community an opportunity to report any potential threat to an individual, group of people, or larger school community when schools are closed. A 24-hour monitoring team will vet each report and then communicate either with the local police department or with the school and district administrators so that they can respond in a timely manner and increase our ability to keep our school safe. Please keep in mind that the StopIt platform is NOT meant to report bullying, but rather threats that may impact our school community. This aligns to the βSee Something, Say Something,β campaign. If needed reporting would occur through the following link: https://web.stopitsolutions.com/login
Finally, as we approach the winter break, I want to take a moment to express my warmest wishes to each of you. May this holiday season bring you joy, peace, and cherished moments with loved ones. I hope you find the time to rest, rejuvenate, and embrace the spirit of togetherness and the holiday. Whether traveling or staying close to home, I hope you find moments of happiness and relaxation.
On behalf of the teachers, staff, administration, and Board of Education; Wishing you all a joyful, healthy and safe holiday season and new year!
