Stuff the Bus Event
As part of WHS Homecoming Week, the annual Stuff the Bus event sponsored by Nelson's Bus Service took place in support of the Whitewater Food Pantry. Washington's Student Council organized our participation once again this year. A very big thank you to our Washington School families who donated items in support of this great cause!
Washington Running Club
The Washington Elementary School Running Club met for the first time this year on October 10th! Thirty-eight students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade met after school to play some fun running games and exercise our bodies! We had wonderful weather and enjoyed being outside. First, students worked in teams to play a very competitive game of Connect 4, which included running up and down the hill several times. Next, our kids turned into animals and "ran" around our field like a horse, a rabbit, a crab, a turtle, and a cheetah. Man, those cheetahs are fast! We are looking forward to being together again next week to move our bodies and have some fun!
Whitewater Fire Department Visits Washington

Washington Story Trail
Our 4K/K playground was the site of our first ever Story Trail. Students and staff were able to read a story as the pages came alive with poster-sized images found on our fence!

Gingerbread Houses During Conferences
During conferences classrooms will have a gingerbread house hung near the doorway. Each gingerbread house has items that a specific classroom needs. Simply grab a gumdrop off the house, purchase the item and return it to school. This small act helps staff receive items their budget may not cover. Please consider giving back to a classroom of your choice.
