Welcome Back Parents!!
I just want to say it was an amazing first week of school!!
On Friday, we kicked off our Soar with Your Imagination theme by gathering for an assembly. Students learned how they can use their imagination to do all kinds of amazing things. We listened to music, watched performers and played games that focused on imagination. I encourage you to help your students use their imagination all year!
Thank you for all your cooperation with pick ups and bussing this first week. We had a few glitches but most importantly everyone got home safely and we will continue to improve!
Thank you to the PTO for two new picnic tables and a bench outside on the playground for students to enjoy!! The PTO is also hosting an ice cream social on Wednesday, Sept 4 from 4:00 - 6:00. Please see below for more details. I hope to see you all there!!
Below you will see links to two special contest that MES students are invited to join. One is a brownie bake off and one is a constitution contest.
Please note that starting this school year, students are required to be here for half of the school day in order for the day to count for the purposes of attendance.
Due to the conditions of some roads, for the first two weeks students will not be marked tardy. Please have patience if you are planning on dropping students off in the morning as there might be an uptake in people dropping off!

Lunch, Recess and Snacks
In addition to lunch and recess, students will also have a snack break during the day. Please send in a healthy snack with your child.

Breakfast will be served at school at 8:15 for those who wish to purchase and eat breakfast at school. Breakfast and lunch will only be free for those students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
