Learn to work and think for life.
Some Questions We've Gotten:
We are still working through the process of getting schedules in place and preparing for students to come back to school remotely. But as we've been preparing, we have fielded a few questions that we want to answer for everyone here.
Will there be "live" synchronous meeting times in the Blended Model even while we are remote?
- The current plan is yes, each class period will have scheduled meeting times during the school day even while we are in remote. We are also working to make sure that there is time set aside for more individualized instruction and tutoring during the remote time as well.
When can my student get their schedule?
- Getting the schedule in place is something we've been working on since we came back and are continuing to work on until it's ready. We are hoping that by next week we will have schedules in the system and ready for staff and students.
My student needs a Chromebook to be able to do their work at home? How do I get one?
- First, be sure you have completed our Learning Options Survey - on there we are collecting information about if families need a district device and whether you have reliable internet or not. Based on this information we will distributing Chromebooks next week - watch for more information to come.
How will my student get their textbooks?
- Along with Chromebooks, we will also be working to have a schedule for textbook distribution next week as well for classes that need textbooks - as most classes have an online accessible version as well.
How will my student know what to do on the first day? Will there be a daily schedule?
- Please make sure that your student can log into their school district email address - we are working to be able to send students their class schedule - additionally, each teacher will email their class specific instructions through this email address before Aug 20.
- Yes, there will be a daily schedule - we are waiting for things to become finalized before we share them, but we will share it in many different ways once it's ready.
We will continue to share information as it becomes available - thanks for reaching out!
Take care,
Sarah Gillam
