At Stonewall Alliance Center, we are working every day to unite, strengthen, and affirm members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, so that we can build a North State culture of inclusion and respect. As the primary provider of services to LGBTQ+ communities north of Sacramento, our charge is not simple -- but it is critically important, especially in a national climate that threatens the safety and well-being of LGBTQ+ people throughout our country.


That’s why this month, we are starting a fundraising drive that invites real people in our communities to invest in the supports and services that make us all stronger and more resilient.

What your monthly commitment supports:


Identity Affirming and Affordable Mental Health Care


Seeking help takes courage on its own. Our community should not have to worry about whether the care they receive will be safe and inclusive of their identity. Stonewall Alliance Center offers low-cost and no-cost counseling by professionals who recognize the barriers LGBTQ+ community members face when seeking support, so that our clients can focus on their long-term wellness in an affirming and respectful environment.


Reducing Stigma and Promoting Physical Health


When care is accessible and inclusive, our communities are healthier. We are prioritizing the physical wellness of our community through weekly, confidential and free HIV and Hepatitis-C testing.


Advocacy and Support for a Stronger Community


Whether our clients are completing name change documentation, navigating a hostile school climate, coming out to their parents or friends, seeking access to chest binders and other resources that support transition, or are simply navigating questions about their identity and rights, they don't have to do it alone. Our staff are well-prepared to be advocates for our community.


Celebratory and Inclusive Spaces


We all have the right to feel safe in the expression of identity, and to celebrate everything that makes us who we are. That's why we are committed to creating safe, social, and inclusive spaces for our community to celebrate and connect.


Building a Network of Allies


Building an inclusive and welcoming community means supporting and strengthening our allies. That’s why we offer training, education, and outreach throughout the North State. We collaborate with non-profit organizations, mental health and medical professionals, businesses, and community members to build their capacity to be better allies to our vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
