Most Recent School Morning Announcements
- 8th Grade - 11/22 was the last day to turn in deposits for 8th grade Niagara Falls Trip. We almost have two full buses. If you have any questions please have your child see Mrs. Reilly or Mrs. Downs for support.
- Next week on 11/27 there is a student-teachers volleyball game to support student activities. Cost is $2 to attend.
- Students, please check the lost and found for any missing items.
- Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in trying out for our girls basketball team should see Mr. Franzcek in Room 179 during the day.
- From the 8th Grade Basketball Coach Fundak - The 8th grade boys basketball team raised their record to 8-0 last night with a dominating performance over a previously undefeated Kenston team. The boys pressed and shot their way to a 23 to 4, 1 st quarter lead. The boys cruised from there for the 57-37 victory. Jack Kadlub hit 2 early 3's to start the onslaught and Aiden Lipford got to the basket at will. Jayden Johnson added clutch shooting and Omari Mitchell played great defense. Lipford led the scoring with 15. Jayden Johnson added 13, Anthony Keidel 8 and Timmy Dunn 7. Great job boys. The boys travel to Willowick Monday after school.
- The holidays are just around the corner. If you are interested in a way to get involved with giving back to your community then this is the donation opportunity for you! Starting Thursday, November 7th-Monday November 25th, the Willoughby Eastlake Community Outreach Center is in need of the following Stocking Stuffers for children in grades PreK-12 within our school district. The following unopened, packaged items are requested: gloves, hats, and popular small toys such as fidgets, card games, arts/craft supplies, sketch books, journals. Please deliver the requested items to Mrs. Pellegrini in Room 112. Students will be given a small candy treat for their donations and may enter for a $50 Apple Gift Card raffle! Thank you in advance for your generosity with helping make the holidays brighter for our fellow students.
Student Spotlight
WMS Student Council
STUCO has about 40 members. Of that forty, we have around 9 students who are team representatives that represent their team and relay important student council updates.
STUCO is joining with the community to host a clothing drive for Birthright. They are collecting baby clothes from 12/3 - 12/20. STUCO has many events planned for the future including candy grams, spirit events, food drives and various fundraisers!

Thanksgiving STEM Day at AWT!
Looking for a fun and educational activity this holiday season? Join us for Thanksgiving STEM Day at AWT!
This STEM Day is for Ages 9-14. Students will learn hands-on skills with circuits and soldering, creativity through personalized designs, and confidence and teamwork in a supportive environment!
AWT STEM Days are day camps that connect Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts to local careers throughout Lake County. Campers will complete hands-on STEM projects to engage creativity and problem-solving.
WMS PTO Information
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you to all parents and school community that supported the WMS PTO Casino Night at LaVera! On Friday many enjoyed the opportunity to win raffle baskets and play casino games to raise money to benefit the WMS school community. Proceeds from the event are intended to be used to assist with a tech update around the school, and support various events and projects that support the WMS PTO mission.
Our activities are only successful with your HELP! VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED!

WECS Community Activities
Are you looking for activities for your children? Interested in family programs in the community? There are so many options for Willoughby-Eastlake families, such as city departments of recreation, sports teams, scouting, camps and special events in all of our surrounding communities, plus so much more!
Information from approved organizations who host activities for Willoughby-Eastlake youth and the community are posted electronically. Paper flyers from organizations are not sent home with students. For specific information about the events, you need to contact the sponsoring organization. Flyers are updated periodically during the month so remember to visit often to check for new postings.

Win a New Car!
Serpentini Chevrolet of Willoughby Hills donated a 2025 Chevrolet Trax 1LS to the school district. Anyone can buy a $10 ticket for a chance to win! All proceeds support student groups in the schools.
