Superintendent's Message
Superintendent’s Message
Greetings Lakeland Families! This week marks the end of the first semester already. The spring semester brings a flurry of activities and events, which often makes it feel as if time is flying by.
Thank you for your patience with the two snow days we had in January. I understand that canceling school creates challenges for many of our families. I will only cancel school when I believe student safety is at risk if we attempt to transport. The safety of our students is my number one priority and I take that very seriously. As we move into February we may have a few wintery hiccups, but spring is finally in view.
The next Parent/Community Advocacy Group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6th from 4:00 - 5:00. We have a pretty full agenda since we had to cancel our January meeting due to the school closure and roads. We do have a google form on the district website where you can request agenda items for these meetings. The link to the page is here. The intent of these meetings is to be able to engage with our community and answer questions or discuss topics. I am grateful to all who attend or submit items for discussion. It is important to us that our parents and community members find us accessible and approachable.
Warm Regards,
Lisa Arnold

We realize that many people are unable to attend our monthly parent advocacy meetings due to time constraints. If you are unable to attend, you will at least be able to listen to the discussion via the video link for the month. We appreciate your partnership! Thank you for sharing your children with us!
