Principal's Message
π Dear Booth Hill Families,
It's been another exciting week for BHS Reads, Bobcats! Our students have shown incredible enthusiasm, diving deeper into the adventures of Firefly Hollow, and we're loving the thoughtful discussions taking place across our classrooms.
More lucky winners headed home with prizes this week from the daily trivia! As we approach the final chapters of Firefly Hollow, we reflect on what a wonderful journey it has been. Special thanks to Mrs. Armstrong for leading us through another successful BHS Reads campaignβher dedication and creativity have truly brought this story to life for our students.
Spring is officially here, and our Bobcats couldn't be happier, but will the weather actually agree that it is here?!
We're also looking forward to seeing many of you tonight at our much-anticipated March Madness Nightβit's sure to be an evening filled with basketball fun, friendly competition, and great community spirit.
Stay tuned, keep reading, and enjoy the sunshine!
Don't forget to check out our website for pics, trivia, and guest readers! https://bhes.trumbullps.org/academics/bhs-reads
Have a great weekend, Bobcats!
Warm regards,
Kevin Chase
In the Spotlight
Grade 4
Fourth graders had a visit from the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center this week. Mark Ceneri led an engaging discussion about human activity and climate change. Students got to participate in two hands-on experiments where they learned about melting ice and how greenhouse gasses affect Earthβs temperature. Students were able to share their knowledge they have learned in science about renewable energy and ways to help our planet. Each student received a copy of What is Climate Change by Gail Herman to take home and continue their learning.
CHET Dream BIG!
You might remember seeing the CHET Dream Big contest advertised in our newsletter. Well, Lily Hrbek entered and won 2nd place for her age group! Lily will get $500 for her college savings account! While the contribution to Lily's account is obviously an added bonus, Lily's parents and all at BHS are so proud of her! Congratulations Lily!

School Attendance
As a school community, we continually strive to promote regular attendance at Booth Hill. We welcome and appreciate open communication between school and home; therefore, please reach out if you need assistance with getting your child to school each day and in a timely fashion. Parent and school partnerships enable us to best support our students to ensure success at school.
"Chronically absent is defined as "a child who accumulated a total number of absences at any time during the school year that is equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the total number of days that such student has been enrolled at the school during the school year."
