Board Meeting Highlights

• The Board of Education received a presentation of Board Polices - First Reading.

Dr. Cota congratulated our special education staff for their hard work, which has led to improvements in our annual determination of monitoring level from the Department of Education! Our district student advisory team met for the third time last week. They participated in a data walk, and were very engaged; they are a joy to be around. They are also very excited about the new student board member process.

Our annual interview with the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) is next Wednesday. The FCMAT visit will provide the county office with an assessment of how they are supporting us and recommendations for us in our continuing improvement.

Dr. Cota also reminded everyone of the dates for the Superintendent visits for February. She was at GHS last week. She will visit Alternative Education sites on Thursday 2/13 and KCHS on 2/14.

• The Board of Education approved student expulsion case #05:24/25.
• The Board of Education approved Resolution 16:24/25 Designation of Authorized Agent to Sign School Orders for Greenfield High School Associated Student Body.
• The Board of Education approved Resolution 17:24/25 Designation of Authorized Agent to Sign School Orders for King City High School Associated Student Body.
• The Board of Education approved electing David Kong to the 2025 CSBA Delegate Assembly.
• The Board of Education approved the adjustment of 2025-2026 academic calendar.
• The Board of Education approved the School Accountability Report Cards (SARC).
• The Board of Education approved removing form E 3541.1 Driver Information from board policies.
