Some thoughts for the starting school year
Principal's Point of View
Dear Remarkable Razorback Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving break! November seemed to fly by, but we accomplished so much together. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who participated in our "Thankful Notes" initiative for teachers. Your kind words were deeply appreciated and brought smiles to our educators during the Thanksgiving luncheon.
Additionally, thank you to the families who contributed to our "Thankful Giving for Families" program. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide full Thanksgiving dinners, including turkeys donated by the Woodland/Spring/Tomball Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, to 27 families in need. Your support makes a significant impact on our community, and we are so grateful!
As we move into December, we’re excited to embrace this festive season while staying focused on our students’ academic progress and success. Here are a few important updates and reminders:
TTAP Test Results: All 6th and 7th-grade students who participated in the TTAP pilot test (a future STAAR initiative by TEA) will receive a data sheet from their math teacher outlining their progress and goals. This is a valuable tool to help students understand their academic growth.
MAP Testing: Middle-of-the-Year MAP assessments will take place December 9th–11th.
- 6th and 7th graders: Reading
- 8th graders: Math and Reading
Please ensure your scholar is present and ready to do their best, as this data helps us track their progress and plan for success.
Progress Reports for UIL Eligibility: Progress report grades for UIL eligibility will be submitted on December 6th. Scholars who were ineligible due to failing grades in the last report must now be passing to regain participation in their activities.
As always, we encourage you to regularly check your scholar’s grades and ensure they are putting forth their best effort. Together, we can support their growth both academically and personally.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Let’s make this short month a successful one!
Warm regards,
Cecelia Brumsey

We notice that students are bringing water bottles to campus, Remember parents all water bottles must be clear, to fill with water while on campus, all Stanley's are taken up and returned at the end of the day because students are not allowed to walk around with them. Take the opportunity to purchase a Bottle from PTO. Your student can keep this water bottle with them all day.
Help our PTO Fundraiser by donating unwanted or extra clothes to our box. Boxes are located in the corner of the staff parking lot. Clean out your closet and help RMS !!!
