Hello!
Heading into Memorial Day Weekend, it is certainly feeling like summer! The weather has turned warmer, the last concerts are on the calendar, and the school days are numbered. It is a tempting time for middle schoolers to want to shift into neutral and coast to the end of the school year...
But we can't do that yet! Please help us keep our students growing academically, socially, and emotionally all the way until the last day. We will keep our expectations for learning and behavior high while your children are at school. We would ask that you reinforce this at home by maintaining your school year routines: reading every night, keeping the Chromebook charged, having a healthy breakfast each morning, etc. Let your child know that you expect their best every day until June 14th.
Let's work together to ensure a positive, productive end to the 2023-2024 school year!

Attention 6th Grade Families!!
Save the Date! October 16-18th, 2024, all WFB Middle School 7th graders will attend the 7th Grade Courage Retreat at Camp Anokijig in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
What is the 7th Grade Camp (also referred to as the 7th Grade Courage Retreat)? 7th Grade Camp is not just a fun outing; it's an opportunity for all 7th grade WFBMS students to develop social and leadership skills and connect with their peers in a unique outdoor setting.
WFB Middle School and Camp Staff will organize and help supervise activities. 7th grade parents are expected to volunteer as overnight and/or daytime chaperones. We know this is a big ask, which is why the PTO is working with the 7th grade team to get the word out to parents now in the hopes the extra lead time will enable parents to schedule time to help out during the campout.
We will be asking for parents to volunteer as either overnight chaperones on the evenings of October 16th and 17th, or daytime volunteers on October 17th and 18th to help with camp supervision.
Plans for the 2024 7th grade Courage Retreat are still in the works, and details have not been finalized. There is a lot more information to come!
All you need to do now is to please mark your calendars and watch for emails from the school closer to the start of the 24-25 school year, and follow the WFBMS PTO on Facebook or Instagram!
