Welcome to the Riverview Team, Travis Sohn!
Hello, my name is Travis Sohn, and I am excited to be joining Riverview Elementary as a special education paraprofessional! I graduated from William Penn University with a degree in Elementary Education. I am looking forward to helping our students learn and grow and to being an overall positive role model that our young learners can look up to. I have a wife, Heidi and a daughter, Briella, who is in Kindergarten at Riverview. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, grilling, and going on walks and bike rides with my family. We also enjoy watching sporting events, especially the Florida Gators.
This Friday Night (Dec. 13) Is Family Bowling Night at Farmington Lanes
PTP is excited to offer RVES Bowling Nights at Farmington Lanes! We had a great turnout during our first event and we are hoping to see more folks during the next Family Bowling Night on Friday, Dec. 13. We hope you are able to join us for a fun night out as we try to creatively build connections between every member of our school community. See you at the lanes!

FHS Learner Seeking Mentor
There is a class at the high school called Mentorship where students are paired with a mentor in their field of choice. There is a student this trimester that is interested in going into elementary education and is looking for a mentor.
Students are required to meet with their mentor for at least 1 hour per week for 8 weeks. This could look different each session, some days might be observations or engaging with students, some might be sitting down and talking about steps to becoming a teacher or experiences. The learner will bring in goals and questions and are in charge of their learning process with their mentor. The focus is to provide insights into the field and answer questions.
Please let me know if there is anyone is interested in helping them out.
