Lincoln Bulletin-updates
This week we finally welcomed students back to Lincoln school. I couldn't be happier to see all of the smiling faces, hearing the voices, and laughter within our classrooms. It has been over 5 months since we had our students here and I couldn't be prouder of the accomplishments of our staff and students in D303 and at Lincoln. Our kindergarten through second-grade students have done an incredible job following guidelines to remain safe. They are learning different routines in the classroom, whether it is using sanitizer as they enter, making sure there aren't many in the restrooms, or carefully removing their masks at recess they have been incredibly respectful, responsible and safe. These are our three expectations at Lincoln and I couldn't be prouder to be a part of our school community.
Our third through fifth-grade students across the whole school picked up their materials and engaged in remote learning. I know that there have been challenges but life long skills and characteristics were demonstrated by all. Perseverance, problem-solving, and flexibility all were exhibited by adults and students. We are on our way to a successful school year for all learners, including our remote and in-person students.
Next Monday we will extend our day for our primary grades and students will eat lunch in the gym. Please consider sending items for lunch that your child can independently open, this will decrease contact of the lunchroom supervisors. They are more than happy to help as needed. Students will sit in assigned seats adhering to the guidelines of 6 feet distance. We have done a great job with our kindergarten-second grade students certifying in the morning, thank you.
Please continue to self certify every day, we are really starting the year off on the right foot--also remember we open our doors at 7:50, students should be in their seats ready to learn at 8:00, make sure they are arriving on time.
Please use this link and add to a calendar reminder daily-Please use this Self Certification web site and login using your HAC Parent username and password.
Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember each morning to complete the Parent Self Certification form for all of your children - D303 Parent Self Certification Form
Also initial your student’s backpack luggage tag each morning.
Our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students have been doing an awesome job this week with this procedure! Thank you to the parents for staying on top of this!
Remote student-technology support
A live chat service is available for device and system support. This is the best way for families to receive fast technical support for district devices and services. The virtual IT team will be available to assist during normal business hours, but if you leave a message, the support staff will follow up the next business day. Chat support can be accessed by going to https://helpdesk.d303.org/chat/
Student Device Exchange
Remote Learners: For problems with a D303 issued device, a socially distanced exchange service is available at the main entrance of the Haines Center. It is recommended to troubleshoot via the above “Live-Chat” service before bringing in a device for exchange.
