Spartan Star says..thanks for the KINDness!
- Thank you to our CEPS families for participating in the Socktober fundraiser. We collectively brought in 1,050 pairs of new socks for families in need.
- In addition, thank you to our CEPS families for bringing in donations for our local food pantry. We collected 73 lbs of non-food paper products and personal care items, and 533 lbs of food for a total of 606 lbs!!!!! The Food Pantry told us that this week alone they had 80 families do their grocery shopping at the food pantry. Special thanks to Mrs. Mandli's class for coordinating.
Teachers Can Have Fun, Too!
Your child may have come home last week and shared that their teachers' attire that day was...interesting. Last week, our staff coordinated a secret dress-up week. Each day had a different theme, and it was fun to see our students try and figure out just WHAT was going on with their teachers! Tomorrow, your child's teacher will show a video that explains it all. This pic is a sneak peak!
Teachers Teach Letter Sounds!
Several of our CEPS Staff put together a LETTER SOUNDS VIDEO (click the link) and we'd love to share it with you! We want to ensure that we teach appropriate letter sounds, and created this video by putting several resources together; specifically, we combined elements of our literacy curriculum with knowledge from previous literacy training we've completed.

Free COVID-19 tests available
U.S. households are eligible to order four free COVID-19 tests through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services at COVIDTests.gov. The COVID-19 Tests will detect current COVID-19 variants and can be used through the end of the year.
Many COVID-19 tests have extended expiration dates, so you may be able to use your COVID-19 tests after the expiration date that is printed on the box. To find out if your test has an extended expiration date, check the FDA’s list of extended expiration dates.
Pneumonia on the Rise
Per WI DHS and CDC Mycoplasma pneumonia (M. pneumoniae or walking pneumonia) activity is increasing nationwide and in Wisconsin. Every three to seven years an increase in M. pneumoniae cases are identified in the United States. People of all ages are at risk for getting M. pneumoniae infection, but it is most common among young adults and school-aged children. There is no vaccine to prevent M. pneumoniae infection. For moderate to severe cases, antibiotic therapy can be prescribed by a clinician. Please view the CDC website for additional information and resources. If you have a cough, fever, run down/extremely tired, difficulty/painful breathing we recommend that you contact your healthcare provider.
Please review our Guidelines for sending your child to school and MSD Health Services Handbook. Remember, if your child is sick please keep them home.
Temperature above 100.4°F

Frequent uncontrollable cough
