NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 35 EDITION
WEEK 35 REFLECTION
The finish line is approaching. Each week as I change the edition number of the Panther Den Newsletter, I think about how many weeks are left. This week hit me a little different as the reality of the short amount of time remaining set in.
The past two weeks have been full of effort, challenges, milestones, and growth. We’ve watched students rise to the occasion during AP testing, putting a stamp on all that was learned this year. There were 22 different exams taken with 350 different student tests! Next week we will wrap up NJSLA with grades 9 and 11, closing the door on another important chapter of the school year. In speaking with the grade 9 students, they were reminded of the importance of what it means when you put your name on something. It is about giving your best. It is about taking pride in who you are as learner. Yes, these assessments are important but they are just one piece of the bigger picture though. What matters even more is the journey that brought us to this point—and how we choose to finish it.
This time of year always brings a mix of energy and emotion. There is excitement for what is ahead, but also a real sense of urgency. The finish line is in sight, and with it comes an opportunity. Not just to complete the year—but to excel while doing it.
Finishing strong does not mean sprinting through the end. It means being intentional. It means staying focused when distractions increase. It means putting care into the work, the relationships, and the routines that have carried us this far. It is about pride in the process and the commitment to seeing things through with purpose.
In many ways, these next five weeks might be the most important of all. They give us time to reinforce what we have learned together, to challenge ourselves one more time, and to create the kind of closure that makes the year feel complete. Whether someone is preparing for finals, capping off a successful sports season, celebrating the end of their high school journey, or simply trying to finish the quarter strong—this is the moment to lock in.
The finish line is ahead. It is our time to excel. #nocknation #5weeks

Data will be used to evaluate current efforts and growth in areas such as anti-bullying and character education.
