Message From the Principal
Dear Tuffree community,
Tuffree is hosting a canned food drive from 11/12 to 11/22. Any canned or boxed/dried food donations are greatly appreciated. Please send any donations with your student to their 1st period class. Thank you so much for helping support local families! Our goal this year is 2,250 items, up from 1,800 last year.
Follow along as we celebrate Native American Indian and Alaskan Native Heritage Month! Finally, there is no school on November 11th, as we honor the service of all U.S. military veterans. The holiday was first observed in 1919 by President Woodrow Wilson to recognize the end of World War I. The name was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all American veterans. As we head into this three day weekend, I'd like to acknowledge and thank all veterans for your time, bravery, and sacrifice. Have a fantastic weekend, falcon families.
Enthusiastically,
Sarah Barton, Principal
