Dear Runkle Community,
What a fantastic way to kick off the month of May! This week, we've been incredibly impressed by the creativity and hard work of our students! On Friday morning, our third graders showcased their writing process and shared their captivating pilgrim diaries with their families (pictured below). It was a heartwarming display of their dedication and historical understanding. Earlier this week, Ms. Bigda's 8th graders proudly presented poems from their portfolios to both peers and families. The event highlighted their talent and growth as young writers. We are consistently inspired by the talent and dedication of our students at Runkle.
A big thank you to the Runkle PTO for hosting a fantastic social event last Thursday night! It was wonderful to see so many teachers, parents, and especially new faces come together. The 80's theme was a fun touch, and it seemed everyone enjoyed the chance to mingle and connect. Thank you to all the teachers who came out on a school night!
A reminder that permission slips for the upcoming 7th and 8th grade field trips have been sent out via email. If you haven't received them yet, please let the school office know as soon as possible.
The placement process and scheduling for next year has begun. While it may seem early, this meticulous planning ensures a smooth transition for everyone. Thank you Mr. Pelton, Ms. Sneider, and Ms. Boyle for taking on the middle school schedule (pictured above). Thank you Jenny Murphy for creating all those class magnets!
Please see the updated Important Dates below. We will continue to add events as they are confirmed.
Warmly,
Donna
