2024-2025 Athletics
Sports Registration on Final Forms for the 2024-2025 School Year is now active. When parentsโ login to their Final Forms account it will still be defaulted to the current 23-24 school year so for you to register your student for the 24-25 school year sports you will need to look for the big blue button at the top middle of your screen that says switch to 24-25 school year.
IMPORTANT - Once you have clicked on the switch to 24-25 school year blue button, I need parents to click on the profile button to the right of your student's name to see the school assignment. With the school boundaries and all the transfer requests, I need parents to look at the school assigned to your student in Final Forms and let me know if it isn't listed correctly. This is very important as the sports that you register for are school specific.
Here is some important information regarding fees and grade requirements for sports eligibility.
Athletic Fees -
1. ASB Fee - Every student who participates in athletics must purchase an ASB card at the school they are doing sports at if the school offers ASB. The ASB fee is due before the first game of the season and can be paid at the cashier's office at the school. If the fee is not paid before the first game then the student will not be eligible to participate in the games until the fee is paid.
2. High School Sports Fee - Marysville School District has implemented a Sports fee for athletics. The fee amount is $125 per student per sport with no charge the third sport. If your student does a Fall, Winter and Spring sport the maximum that will be paid is $250. The Sports fee(s) will be due before the first game of each season and can be paid at the cashiers office at the school. If the fee is not paid before the first game then the student will not be eligible to participate in the games until the fee is paid.
3. Middle School Sports Fee - The sport fee for Middle School sports is $50 per sport with a maximum cap of $100. Middle School offers 4 sport seasons. See list of sports below
Both the ASB and Sports Fee could be waived for students who are on the Free/Reduced program. (FYI- All Marysville School District Students eat lunch for free due to a Grant that we received. This does not mean that your student qualifies for the Free/Reduced Program). In order to see if you qualify for the Free/Reduced program you will need to fill out the 2024-25 Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application for Marysville School District as well as the Consent to Share form which I have attached to this email. Both forms will need to be turned in either at your school Athletic office or to the School District Food Service secretary located at the district office. Make sure you tell the person you are giving your forms to that your student is doing sports and the forms are time sensative so they can try to get them processed quicker. Once the food service department processes the application they will let Athletics/ASB know to waive the fees if your student is approved. They cannot share that information with Athletics or ASB if the Consent to Share form isn't filled out and turned in along with the application. All forms need to be filled out in ink not pencil and make sure you sign the forms and list all of your family members. There is one person processing these forms for the entire school district so I would suggest getting them done sooner rather than later.
Grades - All students will need to be passing all classes in order to be eligible to play in games. If a student playing a Fall sport failed any classes in the second semester or the third trimester of the previous school year they will be placed on academic probation at the start of the fall sport season. If they are failing any current classes after the 3 week probationary period, they will then be placed on academic suspension for the next 3 weeks and will not be eligible for competition. The official grade check date for the current school year grades will be on Monday, September 23, 2024.
