We are very excited to return to school tomorrow to continue ROCKIN’ leading and learning this semester! I hope you all enjoyed the joyful and special rarity of snow in Alabama during this past week and that these days provided you a wonderful opportunity for treasured family memories and quality time together!
While we were disappointed to have school closed for 4 days, I am most grateful for Dr. Herring and our district school leaders for their dedication and commitment to student safety. These leaders spent many hours analyzing safety conditions and collaborating with state and community officials daily to ensure the safest decision was made for our ACS community. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for their leadership and support!
We are eager to return to school tomorrow, and we have a wonderful week ahead! Our PES teachers will thoughtfully make adjustments to lesson planning and pacing throughout this nine weeks to address the 4 missed days. Each teacher will have the autonomy to do this as they plan for the individual needs of their classes with collaborative support and guidance from our instructional coach, district curriculum directors, and Mrs. Daniels and me. We will continue to make the most of each instructional day at PES as we ensure we are teaching the state standards and support students growing and learning in their unique gifts and abilities. We continue to thank you for your involvement and support as we team together for student success!
