A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families,
This is the last newsletter of the year!!! Thank you AGAIN for your support in an unbelievable year! We did not become a Blue Ribbon and the #1 school in NH in one year without the support of our families. We know how much you work to prepare your child(ren) for school each day and please know, we appreciate your efforts! We hope you have a fantastic summer and enjoy time with family and friends. I am here all summer (and next week) if you need anything:)
We wanted to give you an update on the playground. First of all, it's AMAZING!!!!!!! The rubber flooring had to be postponed due to weather so it will not be installed until Monday and Tuesday. We are PLANNING to have a ribbon cutting ceremony late summer, details to follow).
With MUCH respect and appreciation,
Warmly,
Michelle Pitts
Family To Do List
Boxes-Due to the room changes we have to make this year, we are looking for boxes so teachers can easily move belongings at the end of the school year!
Field Day Thank You!
Dear Rye PTA and Volunteers,
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU for supporting our RES Olympic Themed FIELD DAY! We had wonderful weather and the kids had so much fun!! The colored bandanas were a big hit and the support from the parent volunteers, staff and PTA really played a key role in the success of the day! A special thank you to Claire Blaudschun for helping to organize the parent volunteers!

Medication at the Nurse’s Office
Parents- Please be sure to pick up your child’s medication on the last day of school.
Medications are not stored at the school over the summer for use the following year.
If your child will need medication at the school again next year, here is a reminder of our school policy:
The medication must be delivered by a responsible adult to the school in the original properly labeled container. All medication will be counted upon receipt
and no more than a 30 day supply will be accepted. Prescription medications must have the pharmacy label with the child’s name, the prescriber’s name, the date of prescription, name and strength of medication and directions for taking the medication. You will also need to sign a medication administration form and have it signed by the prescriber for prescription medications. We cannot accept individual pills, medication with expired dates or medication in home containers. If your child has asthma medication or an Epi-pen for severe allergic reactions, we also need to have an Action Plan in place at the school. Most health providers have a form they can fax to our office.
Feel free to call with any questions.
Thank you,
Lori Flint RN BSN CCRN

RJH Connection
In an effort to create a ONE STOP SHOP for families, we are now publishing the RES and RJH newsletter on Thursdays and sharing the link in one place:)
PTA News
The Rye PTA invites and welcomes all parents to join us on June 10th at 5:00 pm @ RES as Bob Fernald speaks to parents and students (grades 3+) related to ocean safety. Bob is an open-water swimmer who lives in North Hampton. He has swum the English Channel and around Manhattan Island. Bob helps to train Rye lifeguards and knows our beaches very well. He will be sharing his “9 W’s of Open Water Swimming” to help promote the safety of our community as we enjoy the ocean in the coming months.
So that we can prepare for seating and refreshments, please sign up HERE.
We look forward to seeing you on the 10th. Feel free to share this email with any other families that may be interested.
