The Weekly Update

Hello everyone,

I trust everyone is enjoying a little extra sleep with the time change! It is beginning to look and feel like winter out there, which is perfect since, for most of our teams, fall sports officially ended this week. Congratulations to the volleyball girls for a terrific season and a great showing at the State Tournament! Congratulations also to our lone cross country runner, Greer Green, who represented the Lumberjacks at State! The football team's season continues with a quarterfinals game this week against the Garden Valley Wolverines AT HOME! We need Lumberjack nation to be out and get loud to cheer our Lumberjacks on to the next round of state!! For our girls, it's a quick turnaround into winter sports with basketball practice starting this Monday! Yikes! Here we go!

Don't forget to get out and vote this Tuesday!

The school board is looking at updating the district cell phone policy to a policy of no cell phones or personal electronic devices on school property for students during the school day. The board is seeking feedback from stakeholders for the school board meeting on November 19th. If you would like to provide feedback, either in support or opposed, please email Mindy Ivey at mivey@csd13.org and she will include your comments in the board report, or you can come to the meeting and give your public testimony to the board. Thank you.

Jr. High Student of the Week: Cheyanne McDonald - nominated by her teachers for always being on task and working hard on her studies, and for always being friendly! Great job!

High School Student of the Week: Sara Conaway - nominated by her teachers for always being friendly and supportive of her peers, being a class leader and holding other accountable, and always keeping up with her work despite her busy schedule. Way to go!
