Morning Drop off & Student Safety
53rd Street is an Active Loading Zone
This is a friendly reminder that 53rd Street on the school side is an active loading zone, which means no parking during drop off. Please do not park here before the drop off time and leave your car parked during our drop off times.
If you plan on sticking around, please park across the street or in any of the other parking spaces nearby.
By keeping our active loading zone free you allow parents the opportunity to drop off their children safely and keep traffic flowing. Parents have expressed concerns about how fast some drivers go and Emeryville residents/neighbors have expressed concerns about our parents double parking or stopping the flow of traffic. Let´s work together to keep our students safe!
We have awesome safety/supervision staff and crossing guards who are here to keep our students safe. Please say hi when you see them or me!
