A note from Mrs. Poncho
Dear Snyder Families,
Today, we joyfully welcomed our teachers and staff back to the building, and the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and energy! This year's theme for our staff is "We Are Snyder!" We took the time to celebrate the wonderful qualities that define us and reaffirmed our commitment to always putting kids first in everything we do. Together, we honored our work, our sense of family, and the unique gifts and strengths that each of us brings to the table. We truly are Snyder!
THANK you to our wonderful PTO and PTO president, Theresa Terrell for providing and serving breakfast to our Snyder family!
We are busy getting our school and classrooms ready to welcome our Snyder Stallions!

New Parent Portal
We are looking forward to a great school year. In an effort to help our parents, we are moving to a Parent Portal for parents to access information about their child. You will login similar to the way your child does for school (similar to the SSO) to access school information. All parents/guardians will need to enroll to create an account. You will need the email address that is in your child’s record. Once you enter the email, you will be prompted to create a password.
Please click Parent Portal Directions for instructions or go to Conroe ISD Webpage then Parents/Students to access the link to the Parent Portal.
We hope that you enjoy this transition to a new and convenient platform.
Returning Snyder Students 2024-2025
Returning Snyder Stallions!
If your child was enrolled in CISD last school year, you should have received an email from the district (PowerSchool Enrollment: noreplyenrollment@powerschool.com) containing a unique snapcode or snapcode link for each child you have returning to Snyder.
****Emails were sent out on July 9th. Be sure to check your junk email box, as it may have been sent to that inbox.
Once you open the email with your child's snapcode, follow the instructions below. We want to be sure that all students are placed in the correct grade level and placed in a class before school starts.
How do I get started? You will need your child's snapcode. (Email was sent from the district on July 9th)
What’s a snapcode? The snapcode is like a key to your child’s verification of student registration for the upcoming school year.
By clicking on the link below, you are automatically sent to the online page to enter your child’s snapcode. Click this snapcode link: https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?snapcode=kcngm33664cchfm
Should I create an account?
If you’ve never completed an online verification of student registration, you should create an account. This allows you to securely save your work and come back at a later time if necessary. You can use your email address or cell phone number. - If you already have an account, you can sign in and complete the form. (You should use the same account to complete forms for multiple children.)
Change of Information
If any of your phone numbers, email addresses, or your physical address have changed, please contact the Snyder registrar, Bonnie Sabbara at bsabbara@conroeisd.net
Any address change will need to have a Proof of Residency such as a utility bill (gas, water, electric), lease, or buyers agreement/contract.
If you currently have plans to move over the summer please email our registrar, Bonnie Sabbara at bsabbara@conroeisd.net This will help in planning for next year.

2024-2025 Student Placement
Student Placement for 2024-2025
Student Placement for 2024-2025 is a Top Priority at Snyder. Student placement for the 2024-2025 school year is decided by a committee made up of teachers, administration, counselors, and occasionally, the special education staff. We work very hard to match children's learning styles and personalities with next year's teachers. We take this task very seriously and examine the strengths and needs of each child as we strive to place each student in the environment in which he/she will be most successful.
Our placement committee started the placement process in May. We will continue to work on placement and make necessary changes throughout the summer. Families will be notified of their child’s teacher the week before school begins in August. Once your child's placement is complete, it is not possible to make changes, as this compromises the dynamics of the entire class. We work very hard to create just the right environment for each student.
While we do not take teacher requests, the administrators collaborate with the teachers to place each student in a classroom that will best meet their academic, emotional, and social needs. Please do not request specific teachers or make friend requests. Class composition and a learning/personality match is our top priority as we strive for the correct placement for each child. We appreciate your help and support with this very important endeavor.
IMPORTANT
****Due to continued growth in our area, there may be a need to hire new teachers at the beginning of the school year. When creating new homerooms we look at students that were the last enrolled. Therefore, there is a possibility that your child could change homerooms after the first few weeks of school. We assure you that this will be a smooth transition to a very qualified teacher.
2024-2025 CISD School Calendar
2024-2025 CISD School Calendar
We thank you in advance for planning all vacations and travel outside of the school calendar. When students are absent, they miss valuable instruction that takes place daily. In addition to the loss of that instructional time, Texas schools are rated not only on academic performance but also on student attendance. Daily attendance plays a large role in our accountability rating from the state.
We appreciate your support in this matter, and look forward to a great school year!

Snyder Procedures
Arrival
School begins at 7:55 am. Our doors will open at 7:15 am every school day. We hope that by allowing extra time, this will continue to alleviate the traffic.
Please note that the busiest time to drop off is between 7:50-8:00 AM. Prior to this, there are few cars on Birnham Woods Drive. Please take this into consideration. Additionally, please carpool if possible. For students arriving between 7:15-7:30 am, they will go straight to the recess playground for extra play. Staff members will be on duty to supervise and monitor the students. When the bell rings at 7:30 AM, students will go to class, and meet their teacher.
Dismissal:
School dismisses at 3:10 pm. Please understand that the dismissal process on the first day of school is SLOW. The car rider line may take up to an hour, and buses could run behind. Please have patience with us, as it is very important that each child is safe. Each day, the wait times will get much shorter.
It is important for your child to keep their backpack tag on their backpack to assist with our safely procedures during dismissal. Please pay close attention to the dismissal forms your child’s teacher will have you complete. This information is very important to assist us with accurate dismissal.
- Bus riders: PreK/K students are required to have a parent at the bus stop. All bus riders are required to be registered to ride the bus. You can do this at https://www.conroeisd.net/transportation/
If your child is riding the bus, please take the time to meet the driver, if possible. It helps them to see a face and it helps them to remember which children get off at the different stops. PK and Kindergarten students MUST have an adult at the bus stop to greet them. In addition, the adult needs to have the sign that was provided to them from the teacher. No PK or Kindergarten children will be released without an adult. If your child does not get off the bus, please call Snyder to verify they loaded the bus. Often times, children fall asleep on the ride home and miss their stop.
The District encourages parents to transport their children if they are able to do so safely to help reduce the number of students using transportation; this would allow for more social distancing for those using bus transportation.
- Walker/Biker – PreK/K students are required to have a parent at our walker/biker dismissal locations with a sign with the student name to be released.
As a reminder, during dismissal no students will be able to meet their parents in our parking lot, near the tennis courts, or any of the school doors if they are a "walker/biker." Please be advised there are two Walker lines: Benders/Harmony/ALL Bikers and Lockeridge. Each line has a different exit point.
Benders/Harmony Walkers/ALL Bikers:
· Will be escorted by Snyder staff to the York track entrance
· Snyder staff will assist them across the street
· Students will travel on the sidewalk unescorted towards Waterbend Cove
· Parents are welcome to meet their student on the other side of the entrance by the track
Lockeridge; Cox/York Walkers:
· Will come out the back of the building
· Will be escorted by Snyder staff to the entrance of the neighborhood
· Cox/York students will travel with this line, as well, and be released to school staff at a designated location for each school
Lastly, if you send a note with your child for a change of transportation to be a walker, please write if they will be walking as a Benders/Harmony walker, or Lockeridge walker.
- Daycare: Please verify with your daycare that they pick up at Snyder and that your child is registered to ride their bus at dismissal.
- Car rider: If your child is a car rider, you must have a the 2024-2025 district designated car rider sign to show at dismissal. You will receive a sign at meet the teacher. Please write your child’s name(s) in BIG, BOLD, DARK writing to help read your sign. Car rider is a “follow the leader” activity, with patience please. You can expect car rider to last at least one hour.
- During the school day, this fire lane needs to stay clear for emergency vehicles only. It is imperative that the lane in front of the school is clear any time before 2:00pm
Please be sure that your child can enter the car by the door closest to the curb.
Due to the safety of our patrols and students, we ask that you do not park and get out of the car to open the passenger door on the driver’s side. This is not only unsafe, but it also slows the flow of the car rider line.
