CHIPS Weekly Update

CHIPS recently started "Book of the Month," where all classes choose a common book to read each month. The book of the month for February was We're Going on a Bear Hunt. The PTO has supplied banners for each book, and Miss Megan has been visiting classrooms as a guest reader. The book of the month for March will be If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

The CHIPS Hallway has been transformed into outer space, and our students are blasting off learning about the solar system, planets, and astronauts! The space hallway is such a fun sensory and learning experience for our students. Thanks to Lauren Nicolosi and all the CHIPS staff who helped organize and set up this amazing experience!

The weather has warmed up a bit, but there is still plenty of snow outside! Please see the link below for ideas for snow play from our speech and occupational therapists.

• March 5- Spirit Day- wear CHIPS clothing or maroon
• March 12- NO SCHOOL- Parent-Teacher Conferences (rescheduled)
• April 1- NO SCHOOL- Professional Development

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) or use our attendance email (chipsattendance@chelmsford.k12.ma.us) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc). If your child is out due to illness, please let us know the nature of the illness (fever, vomiting, cough, etc.).
