Back to School Webpage is Still Active
If you’re missing some school supplies, wondering the date of a picture make-up day, or need a school-year calendar, the Back to School webpage is still active. Check it out.
Youngsters Invited to Play-Based Programs
West Bend School District Early Learning Program teachers and speech therapists partner with the Kettle Moraine YMCA on its Playschool program and the West Bend Parks and Recreation on its Learn and Play class for children who will be three years old on or before September 1. We welcome all young learners to join one of the classes. Please share this information with families of young children.
These play-based programs emphasize language and social skills by providing developmentally appropriate experiences through stories, singing, dancing, and playing. The child-centered curriculum reflects the integration of physical, cognitive, social language, and self-help.

Road Construction Update
If you or your child is driving to or from school using the intersection of Main Street and Decorah Road, please consider getting to school another way. If that is not possible, please allow for some extra time due to the construction. If your child walks to school or home through that intersection, please advise them of this information from the City of West Bend engineer: The West Bend Police Department will have a crossing guard at this corner as they have in past years along with extra staffing on site to help. The south crosswalk (corner where Kwik Trip is located) will be closed for several weeks. Pedestrians can reach and go through all sides of the streets by using the north, east, and west crosswalks.
Suicide Prevention Information from DPI
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has prepared a resource document for updated information on suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention resources. Access the resource. It includes a fact sheet on youth suicide and updated suicide prevention information.
