Staffing Update
As this school year draws to a close, we must bid farewell to a few of our BK staff members. We thank Mrs. Tara Haggerty, Mrs. Erin Richmond, and Mrs. Shantel Macleod who used their gifts and talents to support our students to learn and grow this school year. We also say farewell to Mrs. Lemay who is off to J.J. Nearing Catholic Elementary School next year and we wish her all the best.

Bring Your Own Robust Device (BYORD)
Robust Technology Device: Although we won’t recommend specific models or kinds of devices, we encourage you to by a device that features the following for the best learning results:
- Wireless networking capability (the Division provides filtered wireless access in all buildings for students)
- A microphone
- An external keyboard for entering text
- Audio output for earbuds or headphones
- A minimum of 6 hours of use from one battery charge
- A full-functioning, recent Chrome web browser that will allow access to Google Apps for Education tools and documents
- A sturdy carrying case (NO backpack) that will protect the device
- An integrated camera that takes both still photos and video
There is no perfect device, however, the following are examples of devices that meet the criteria above:
- Chromebooks (ex. Asus Chromebook, Acer Chromebook, HP Chromebook Samsung Chromebook)
- Laptop (ex. Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Acer Aspire, HP laptop, Toshiba Satellite Laptop)
Students will only be permitted to use their own devices at school if the “Learning with Technology: Responsible Use Agreement has been completed. Please review with your child.
TERM THREE REPORT CARDS
Report cards will be accessible through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at the end of June. To locate your child's report card:
1. You will need to log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Click HERE to connect to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Please bookmark this link so you can easily use the PowerSchool Parent Portal in the future.
2. Once you have logged in, there is a list of Navigation links on the left-hand side of the screen. At the bottom of the list, please click on the Report Card link to proceed to the next screen.
3. You will then be able to select the report card you wish to view as a PDF. Once you click the report card link, you also have the option to download the report card.
5. Once downloaded, you can open the file to view and Save. Please save or print off a copy of the report card for future reference.

To view your child's report card, you will need to do so using a computer (desktop or notebook) or a Chromebook – a mobile device is not supported.
If you have not created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, please get in touch with your child's school for assistance.
